About OPL Helpline
A licensed addiction treatment center in Lebanon, Ohio, committed to guiding individuals and families toward lasting recovery through compassionate, evidence-based care at our treatment facility.
Rooted in Lebanon, Committed to Recovery
OPL Helpline was founded in 2011 with a clear and urgent purpose: to bring comprehensive, medically supervised addiction treatment to Lebanon, Ohio, and the broader Warren County region. Our founders, a group of physicians, behavioral health clinicians, and community advocates, saw firsthand how families in southwestern Ohio were struggling to find quality, nearby treatment options. Too many individuals were being forced to travel hours for the care they desperately needed, creating barriers that kept people trapped in the cycle of addiction. They envisioned a treatment center right here on East Mulberry Street where clinical excellence and genuine compassion would meet patients at their most vulnerable moment.
What started as a modest 16-bed residential program has evolved into one of the most trusted addiction treatment centers in the region. Over the past fourteen years, our campus has expanded to include a medically supervised detoxification unit, a full residential treatment wing, intensive outpatient programming, a dedicated dual diagnosis track, and a robust aftercare and alumni network. Every phase of our growth has been guided by the same founding principle: treat each person who walks through our doors as a whole human being, not a diagnosis, and walk alongside them for as long as it takes to build a foundation for lasting recovery.
Today, OPL Helpline serves individuals and families from across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Our treatment center remains deeply embedded in the Lebanon community, partnering with local hospitals, Warren County courts, area churches, employers, and social service agencies to ensure that no one in our region who needs help faces the journey alone. We are proud of the thousands of lives that have been transformed within the walls of our facility, and we remain as committed as ever to expanding our reach, refining our methods, and meeting the evolving challenges of addiction with expertise, empathy, and unwavering dedication.

Our Impact in Lebanon and Beyond
Evidence-Based, Whole-Person Care
At OPL Helpline, we believe lasting recovery requires treating the whole person, not just the addiction. Our on-site clinical team combines proven therapeutic modalities with holistic wellness practices to address the root causes of substance use disorders at our Lebanon, Ohio treatment center.
Treatment Philosophy
Our treatment philosophy at OPL Helpline is grounded in three core pillars: individualization, integration, and empowerment. We recognize that no two patients who enter our facility share the same history, the same triggers, or the same path to recovery, and no two treatment plans should ever be identical. From the moment you walk through the doors of our Lebanon treatment center, our multidisciplinary team conducts a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to build a care plan tailored precisely to your unique clinical needs, personal goals, and life circumstances.
We integrate evidence-based clinical therapies with holistic modalities because decades of research consistently demonstrate that addressing the mind, body, and spirit together produces stronger, more durable outcomes than any single approach used in isolation. At our facility, patients are never passive recipients of care. They are active partners in their own recovery. We equip every individual with the knowledge, coping skills, and self-awareness they need to not only achieve sobriety but to sustain it long after they leave our campus. Our clinical staff collaborates across disciplines daily, ensuring that every aspect of a patient's care is coordinated, responsive, and aligned with their evolving needs throughout the treatment process.
We also understand that addiction rarely exists in a vacuum. Co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder frequently accompany substance use disorders, and treating one without the other is a recipe for relapse. That is why our treatment center offers fully integrated dual diagnosis care, with licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors working side by side with our addiction medicine specialists to deliver the comprehensive clinical attention that lasting recovery demands.
Our Therapeutic Modalities
Identify and restructure the harmful thought patterns that fuel addictive behaviors, building healthier coping mechanisms for long-term sobriety. Our therapists use structured CBT protocols in both individual and group settings at our treatment center to help patients recognize triggers, challenge distorted beliefs, and develop practical strategies for managing cravings and high-risk situations in everyday life.
Develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills critical for managing triggers and preventing relapse. DBT is especially effective for patients at our facility who struggle with intense emotions, self-destructive behaviors, or co-occurring personality disorders alongside their substance use.
Build connection and accountability through facilitated group sessions at our campus where patients share experiences, gain perspective from peers, and support one another through the challenges of early recovery. Our groups are led by licensed therapists and cover topics including relapse prevention, communication skills, grief and loss, and healthy relationship building.
One-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist at our treatment center to explore personal history, trauma, co-occurring conditions, and individualized recovery goals. These confidential sessions provide a safe space for patients to process difficult emotions and build a personalized roadmap for sustained sobriety beyond our facility.
Rebuild trust and communication within family systems through structured sessions at our center that address codependency, boundaries, enabling behaviors, and collective healing. Addiction affects the entire family, and our family therapy program ensures that loved ones are equipped with the understanding and tools they need to support recovery while caring for their own well-being.
Guided integration into 12-step fellowship, helping patients at our facility build a sober support network that extends well beyond their time in treatment. Our counselors facilitate step work, sponsor connections, and meeting attendance to ensure patients leave our center with a community of recovery already in place.
Yoga, meditation, art therapy, mindfulness training, and fitness programming offered on our campus and designed to heal the body and calm the mind alongside clinical care. These modalities complement our evidence-based therapies and give patients additional tools for managing stress, processing emotions, and building a sustainable wellness routine.

Stories of Recovery from Our Community
The voices of those who have walked the path of recovery at our Lebanon, Ohio treatment center speak louder than anything we could say. Here are some of their stories.
When I checked into OPL Helpline, I had been drinking every day for nearly seven years. I had lost two jobs, my marriage was falling apart, and I honestly did not believe treatment could work for someone like me. The residential program changed everything. From the first day on campus, the staff made me feel like I mattered. My therapist, Jonathan, helped me understand the trauma I had been running from for decades. The daily structure, the group sessions, the quiet time in the meditation garden, it all came together in a way I never expected. I am now twenty months sober. I have a new job, my wife and I are in counseling together, and for the first time in years I wake up without dread. OPL Helpline in Lebanon gave me my life back.
I was terrified to start detox. I had tried quitting opioids cold turkey twice on my own and the withdrawals were so brutal I relapsed within days both times. When I arrived at OPL Helpline, Dr. Nguyen sat with me for nearly an hour during my intake, explaining exactly what to expect and assuring me that I would be safe. The nursing staff checked on me constantly, adjusted my medications when I needed it, and never once made me feel judged. After detox, I moved into the residential program and started the real therapeutic work. The combination of CBT and individual counseling finally helped me address the anxiety that had been driving my addiction for years. The food was incredible too, which sounds small, but feeling physically nourished made a huge difference. I am fourteen months clean and I owe that to the team at this treatment center in Lebanon.
As a single father working full time in Warren County, I could not afford to take weeks away from my kids for inpatient treatment. The intensive outpatient program at OPL Helpline was exactly what I needed. I attended evening sessions three times a week at their facility on Mulberry Street, and the flexibility allowed me to keep working and parenting while getting the help I desperately needed. The group therapy sessions became the most important part of my week. Hearing other people share their struggles and victories made me feel less alone for the first time in years. The DBT skills I learned for managing stress and cravings have completely changed how I handle difficult moments. Six months into the program and I have not had a single drink. My kids have their dad back.
For over a decade I was caught in a cycle of addiction and untreated depression. I had been to two other rehab facilities in Ohio, and each time they treated the substance abuse but barely addressed my mental health. I would leave feeling physically better but emotionally just as broken, and within a few months I was using again. OPL Helpline was the first treatment center that got it right. Their dual diagnosis program treated my depression and my cocaine addiction at the same time, with the psychiatrist and my addiction counselor working together on my care plan. The DBT skills groups taught me how to handle the emotional crashes that always triggered my relapses. It has been over two years now since I completed the program, and I am still sober, still taking my medication, and still using the tools they taught me at the facility every single day. This center saved my life when I had given up on myself.
Our daughter struggled with alcohol addiction for almost six years before she came to OPL Helpline in Lebanon. As her parents, we had watched helplessly as she dropped out of college, lost friendships, and slowly disappeared into someone we did not recognize. What made OPL Helpline different from the other programs she tried was the family therapy component. For the first time, we were included in the process. The clinical team helped us understand how our own behaviors, the enabling, the anger, the constant worry, were affecting her recovery and our own health. The family sessions were hard, but they were honest, and that honesty healed something in all of us. Our daughter just celebrated three years of sobriety. She is back in school and working part time. Our family is whole again, and we are profoundly grateful to the entire staff at this treatment center for never giving up on her or on us.
